Yin Yoga Workshop – A Workshop of Self Love and Acceptance

Yin yoga is a practice of self-love. Unlike other styles of yoga, it is slow, sensual, and soft. During a yin practice, we give ourselves permission to relax and allows us time to sit within ourselves, to just be still, to notice what our body and mind are telling us.

The physical practise of this workshop will focus on the deep connective tissues and fascia throughout the heart meridian, targeting the upper body to release energy blockages and emotional imbalances of the heart. The postures will open up the upper body including the arms, shoulders and chest to regulate the body’s flow of energy throughout this meridian, increasing circulation in the joints, and improving flexibility.

In the poses we will support our bodies with pillows and props, blocks and bolsters where needed. These tools of comfort and allow us to be passive and receptive. They help us to give ourselves the gift of surrender, and to receive love and support.

You will leave the practise feeling balanced, calm, loved and at peace.
